Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Aama helps a family look after an ageing parent across a distance. This policy says plainly what we store, what we do not, and who can see it.
What we store
- The circle: the parent's name, the name the family calls them, their city and time zone.
- Medicines: name, strength, a chosen shape and colour, times, quantity.
- Confirmations: which dose was confirmed, when, and by whom.
- Updates: notes, photos and voice notes written by family members.
- Emergency card: contact, blood group, conditions, allergies, doctor — entered by the family, for the family.
- Accounts: for organisers, family members and caregivers, an Apple or Google sign-in identifier. The parent has no account. Their phone holds a device token that identifies the circle and nothing else.
What we never collect
Location. Contacts. Call or message history. Microphone or camera access outside an action you start. Advertising identifiers. We run no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs on any screen a parent sees.
What we never do
- Sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- Give medical advice. Aama organises care; it does not interpret readings or recommend treatment.
- Monitor a parent covertly. Any parent can open "What my family can see" from their own screen and read the same list their family sees.
Who can see what
Only members of your circle. Health information is encrypted in transit and at rest, and every database query is scoped to your circle.
Retention and deletion
Delete your circle in Settings and all records and files are removed within 30 days. You can also submit an account deletion request via our Account & Health Data Deletion Request Page.
